Resort

In 2015, the ground-floor gallery of Tel Aviv’s Center for Contemporary Art was transformed into a black-box workspace. In the second-floor gallery, five sculptures/architectural models were put on display: a plane, a terminal building, a beach resort, an archeological site, and a hotel suite.  These five sites corresponded to the five scenes of the play “Resort,” written by Meromi and published on the occasion of the show. The sculptures along with the play provided an entry point for work at the CCA: during the show's run, a diverse program of events — open to the public but, by definition, always-in-progress — took place on the ground-floor space, spanning a range of practices from dance and music to theater and education.
